ABOUT US
J.J. Dahl has been practicing law for 35 years and, as owner of Dahl Family Law Group in Clermont, she practices exclusively Marital and Family Law. She takes pride in being Lake County’s first Board Certified Marital and Family Law attorney and Fellow with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in the Fifth Judicial Circuit. She is also Board Certified in Family Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Attorney Dahl’s associate, Tracy Stephens, has been with her firm for more than 17 years. The team also includes three Florida Bar Registered Paralegals. The practice handles all family matters in Lake, Sumter, Marion, Hernando and Citrus counties. In Orange County they exclusively handle only collaborative law matters.
PRACTICE AREA
Dahl Family Law Group is experienced in all areas of domestic relations, including complex equitable distribution, family businesses, alimony and child support, relative adoptions, parental responsibility, parenting plans and relocation issues, paternity, post judgment modification, and preparation, and negotiation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. The attorneys work with forensic accountants in valuing businesses, uncovering assets, and determining true income.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATES
Attorney Dahl attended Florida State University College of Law on scholarship and has been a member in good standing of The Florida Bar since 1991.

PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
The firm’s mission statement is Excellence, Education, and Encouragement. Between 2005 and 2023 Attorney Dahl has spoken at twenty-four seminars on marital and family law issues, including co-chairing the Florida Bar’s Marital and Family Law Certification Review Course, the largest CLE hosted by The Florida Bar. In addition, she previously served on the Fifth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission under two governors. She is a Founder of the Southlake County Women’s Giving Alliance and former board member of the Southlake County Community Foundation.
