Dr. Vinicio Hernandez is board-certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology. He has been practicing in Orlando since 1997 and founded SLCC in 2005.
OUR SERVICES
At SLCC, we specialize in treating solid organ cancers, including those of the lung, breast, colon, and prostate. We also focus on diagnosing, screening, and preventing blood disorders like anemia, sickle cell disease, bleeding and clotting disorders, as well as blood and bone cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.

Our mission is to provide affordable, patient-centered care in a friendly, compassionate environment where all diagnostic testing and treatment— whether chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiation—can be
done under one roof. After seeing patients face barriers at large institutions, Dr. Hernandez started SLCC in 2005 to empower cancer patients and build a more personal, trusting relationship with their treatment team. As an independent practice, SLCC aims to improve patient outcomes and quality of care while reducing costs.
INNOVATIONS
SLCC offers onsite advanced radiation therapy for cancer, radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging and treatment of cancer (Gallium 68, PSMA, Pluvicto, Zofigo), radioablation for thyroid tumors, and electron-beam therapy for skin cancers. We also have an on-site PET/CT scanner for tumor staging and diagnosis, reducing the need for external radiology facilities. Additionally, the practice provides comprehensive genomic profiling of cancer, a test that finds gene mutations in a patient’s tumor DNA to help identify the best treatment plan for their specific cancer type.
