OUR PRACTICE

Premier Infectious Disease Care is located at 185 N. Lakemont Ave, Suite B, Winter Park, across from the AdventHealth Winter Park Hospital ER. We provide comprehensive treatment for viral, bacterial, and fungal infections with a holistic approach. We have expanded to include therapeutics and infusion services. From chronic conditions like HIV and Hepatitis to urinary tract infections, our patients appreciate how we coordinate with their primary care doctors, specialists, and family members.

OUR DOCTORS

• Dr. Archana Shah founded the practice in 2008. She completed her fellowship at University Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center in Newark, NJ. She has been consistently recognized as Best Doctor or Top Doctor since 2009.
• Dr. Ronald Gonzales joined us from Chicago, where he completed his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Illinois/Chicago.
• Dr. James Spain has been part of our team since 2022, coming from the Penn State Hershey Medical Center Infectious Disease Fellowship program.
• Dr. Mariangela Canaan relocated to Orlando from Miami and completed her fellowship at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
• Dr. Lysenia Mojica joined us from the University of South Florida.
• Dr. Rita Nwanyanwu has been with our practice since 2018 and comes from the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital Infectious Disease Fellowship program.
