ABOUT THE DOCTOR

Deepa Taneja, M.D., is board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. She practices evidence-based medicine and provides comprehensive care for thyroid, diabetes, calcium, bone, pituitary, and metabolic disorders. Dr. Taneja earned her medical degree with honors in India, completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Health System, and her Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Kentucky, where she served as Chief Fellow. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UCF College of Medicine and actively mentors medical, PA, and nurse practitioner students.

An Orlando Health staff member affiliated with AdventHealth, Dr. Taneja is also Principal Investigator (PI) and Sub-PI for multiple cardiometabolic and thyroid disease clinical trials, has served on advisory boards, consulted for pharmaceutical companies, and is a national speaker on obesity drugs.

A member of the Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation, and the North American Menopause Society, Dr. Taneja is passionate about advancing endocrinological care. She is particularly interested in PCOS, obesity, and innovative weight loss strategies, striving to bring cutting-edge therapies and greater awareness to the community.
