Since 1931, Ringling College of Art and Design has cultivated the creative spirit in students from around the globe. The private, not-for-profit, fully accredited college offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 11 disciplines and the Bachelor of Arts in two. The College’s rigorous curriculum employs the studio model of teaching and immediately engages students through a comprehensive program that is both specific to the major of study and focused on the liberal arts. The Ringling College teaching model ultimately shapes students into highly employable and globally aware artists and designers.

We support students in exploring their passions, believing it leads to meaningful work and strong careers. To expand on their interests and goals, students can choose from a range of minors and certificates to enhance their academic experience.

Ringling College is situated on a beautiful, open 60-acre campus with more than 80% of students living in residential housing. Students are set up for success with access to cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art facilities, as well as seven on-campus galleries that feature work by students, alumni, and visiting artists. The Ringling College Museum Campus is home to the groundbreaking Sarasota Art Museum featuring world-class, contemporary exhibitions and studio and lifelong learning programs.

Ringling’s academic programs are ranked among the top in the country and around the world. Beyond our rigorous studio curriculum and liberal arts offerings, we excel in propelling students outside of the classroom through client projects, substantive internships, and national competitions, stopping at nothing to shape our students into tomorrow’s leaders of art and design. Our vibrant and diverse student body comes from over 50 countries and nearly every U.S. state.

The College has an active student life program, leadership and volunteerism opportunities, and student support services through our Center for Student Success, Student Learning Center and Access Services, and on-campus Health and Counseling Centers.
