Board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in sports medicine and advanced arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, and one of the country’s first to earn a subspecialty certificate in orthopedic sports medicine. Dr. Mintzer serves on the executive committee of the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and is president of the board of directors at Eugene Jewett, MD, Surgery Center.
EDUCATION
Dr. Mintzer received his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Princeton University and received the First Honor Prize at Princeton for highest class standing. He attended Harvard Medical School and completed his residency training at the Harvard Orthopedic Program in Boston. His advanced sports medicine fellowship was completed at New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Mintzer has also earned a Master of Business Administration from Florida State University.

Balancing a busy sports-filled orthopedic practice and raising two high-achieving and successful children (Samantha, Wake Forest University 2017 summa cum laude, and Brandon, Princeton University 2020 summa cum laude) with Debbie, his wife of 32 years.
