Gold Coast
Florida’s most southeastern coast, which is home to the luxe environs of West Palm Beach, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, the Gold Coast is named for the high value of real estate in the area, its “golden” opportunities, as well as the area’s popularity as a winter destination. And yes, there is a Golden Beach here, but it is a community, not an attraction, home to the affluent. The Gold Coast is home to some of the most luxurious shopping options in Florida, such as Aventura Mall, Florida’s largest, and Worth Avenue, a Mediterreanean-style walk full of luxury boutiques.

Boca Raton
Since the 1920s, when renowned architect Addison Mizner envisioned the area as a luxury resort town, Boca Raton has embodied opulence and elegance. The crown jewel of its coastline is a meticulously guarded two-mile portion, popular among locals and tourists.
The untouched beauty of this coastal region is complemented by its isolation and tranquility, providing a haven for recreational activities. A multitude of visitors are drawn to the soothing ocean waves and the unique landscapes of sand dunes interspersed with sea oats and sea grapes.
The spectrum of Boca Raton beaches encompasses Red Reef Park, Bark Beach and Spanish River Park. Renowned for its manmade reefs and snorkeling experiences, Red Reef Park is a favorite among underwater adventure enthusiasts. Bark Beach, a pet-friendly segment between lifeguard towers 18 and 20, is popular among dog owners. Meanwhile, Spanish River Park, nestled along the intercoastal waterway, boasts accessible walking paths leading to the beach.
In September 2021, a recreational snorkel reef was added to Red Reef Park, augmenting the existing reef and creating an extended trail for snorkelers. The park’s existing snorkeling area, comprising six artificial reef modules near the southern end, has also been enhanced. Built with limestone boulders, these modules were strategically placed offshore.
The reef attracts fish species like Sergeant Major, Parrotfish, Bar Jack, Spottail Pinfish and Molly Miller, among others.
