Impromptu Performance

Jenyffer Moreno

At the Walt Disney Amphitheater in downtown Orlando, you might expect to see a play, but that’s not what’s happening here. Earlier this year, Jenyffer Moreno—a college student and amateur photographer who recently moved to Orlando from Tampa—was traveling on I-4 with a friend she calls a “theater geek.” To avoid rush-hour traffic they pulled off the highway and killed time by exploring Lake Eola Park. When her friend climbed up onto the amphitheater stage, Moreno liked the way the setting sunlight made the scene look and took this shot. “The contrasts and the colors,” she explains, “they’re very solid.”
