CUTTING EDGE CREATIVE
5/15-28 Orlando’s International Fringe Theatre Festival celebrates its 22nd year by offering a record-breaking 95 uncensored theatrical shows and events in multiple venues around Loch Haven Park. Artistic freedom—in theater, music, dance and art—is at the core of Fringe. Who can forget last year’s “Dog Powered Robot”? (above) Performances range from free to $11. THE CIRQUE OF LIFE
5/15-19 Quidam, Cirque du Soleil’s international touring show, depicts a young girl who seeks to fill the void of her existence by creating an imaginary world where a cast of unique characters encourages her to free her soul. 5/18 The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual concert at The Springs features a tribute to the music of James Taylor. Bring a picnic and a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy an outdoor concert on the banks of scenic Sanlando Springs in Longwood. Gates open at 5 p.m., the concert begins at 8.
