The luck of the Irish is back and bigger than ever as North Orlando’s block party and nightlife destination, Liam Fitzpatrick’s Restaurant and Irish Pub, host a double St. Patty’s Day celebration at the 11th Annual “Lake Mary St. Patrick’s Weekend Block Party” on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17. Now, pub patrons can buy tickets for the two-day long event, which takes over Colonial Town Park outside Liam Fitzpatrick’s, Graffiti Junktion and Dexter’s of Lake Mary, with non-stop live entertainment on multiple stages, drink specials, authentic Irish food and fun. Are you going green?
Take a stroll down Raglan Road for the best Irish entertainment in America. St. Patrick’s Day festivities kick off at 3.00 pm Friday March 15 and run thru Sunday, March 17. Brace yourselves for a cacophony of music. Throw in a troupe of Irish Dancers with more talent in their big toes than most possess in their lifetime and you have the ingredients for a fun, feisty and fantabulous festival. With sublime Irish food, an enormous range of craft beers and cocktails, a dedicated Irish store, face painting and much more, this is a truly immersive experience.
Wall St. Plaza
A collective of 7 downtown Orlando bars will host a block party on March 16 and March 17. The Wall St. Plaza “St. Practice” Day and St. Patrick’s Day Block Parties will take place on two city streets as well as The Hen House, Hooch, The Monkey Bar, Shine, Sideshow, WaiTiki and Wall St. Cantina. Enjoy live bands, DJs, and Irish pipes and drums, as well as Irish food and drink specials, tons of giveaways, and a leprechaun. Saturday’s event runs from 8 p.m. – 2 a.m., with Sunday’s scheduled for 12 p.m. – 2 a.m.
For those looking for family friendly or pet friendly festivities, go to Baldwin Park on March 16 from 12 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. This family-friendly event will feature food trucks, a beer garden, music, dancing, and a street full of vendors and local businesses!
Saturday, March 16 head out for the St Paddy’s Day Truck Pull & Street Festival in beautiful Historic Downtown Sanford! Food trucks, live music, craft beer and tons of fun are set to be had! 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. All proceeds to benefit Special Needs Ability Program, Inc.
THAT PUB FEEL
Harp and Celt
If you’re looking for a Downtown Orlando vibe, Harp and Celt has you covered (well, technically there’s no cover charge on March 17). Serving up the traditional corned beef and cabbage from 11:00 a.m. until it runs out, this block party offers live music outside beginning at 8:00 p.m.
Lizzy McCormack’s Irish Pub
Lizzy McCormack’s Irish Pub is close by and is set to host its 15th St. Patrick’s Day Celebration this year. With live Irish music, drink and food specials, giveaways, and their world-famous pudding shots, anyone 21+ will enjoy this thoroughly good time. RSVP’s are recommended.
CATCH THAT RAINBOW
March for Meals St. Patrick’s 5K
Saturday, March 16 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., this fun run encourages participants to wear green, creates awareness of senior hunger and raises money for the Meals on Wheels program in Osceola County through the Osceola Council on Aging. Groups can compete for “Most Spirited Team” and/or “Largest Team.” Registration in advance is encouraged but pick up your race kit on race day!
2019 Luck of the Irish 3.17
The third annual Luck of the Irish 3.17-mile race encourages participants to run during March, which is also Hemophilia Month. Racers will receive a bib and medal, and at least 15 percent of every registration will be donated to the National Hemophilia Foundation. Register here.
