“This is kinda the view from the person being rescued,” says Rob McCullough, an amateur photographer who took this shot at twilight in early May. But no one was really being rescued that day. McCullough, of Winter Park, is the manager at Parc Soleil by Hilton Grand Vacations Club, a new resort near SeaWorld. Not long before the resort opened to the public, McCullough heard that Orange County’s fire department would be conducting a full-scale drill there. So at the appropriate time, he brought his camera up to the 12th floor of the 14-story building and started clicking away. The extreme perspective he captured here is impressive—and perhaps a bit disorienting. “It almost makes people dizzy when they look at it,” he says.
