Description:

Bishop Moore Catholic High School (BMC), the largest private Catholic school in Orlando, Florida, serves families in the 9th–12th grades. Well-known for its challenging curriculum, steeped in an environment of faith and service, as well as its athletic, artistic and extracurricular activities, BMC has come to symbolize the best in private school education. The school’s success lies within its approach to educating the whole person – in mind, body and spirit.
Exceeding Florida Department of Education requirements, Bishop Moore Catholic’s college-preparatory curriculum is designed to encourage success at the post high school level. In addition to required core classes, BMC offers a complement of electives in the fine arts, physical education, technology, the sciences, publications, and world languages, to round out student education. In addition, the school offers 23 advanced placement classes, allowing qualified students the ability to graduate with an honors diploma. Technology is integrated into every classroom.
In 2017, 100% of Bishop Moore Catholic seniors graduated and 98% went on to college or joined the military. Graduates earned more than $17.5 million in scholarships and grants.
Bishop Moore Catholic also knows that forming the whole student goes beyond the classroom walls. The school offers a myriad of extracurricular activities, including seasonal athletic opportunities, as well as 47 clubs and honor societies. More than 90% of the student body is involved in extracurricular activities. Throughout the years, athletes have won 29 state titles and three national championships.
Yet, the foundation of student formation lies within growth in their faith. Students are provided the spiritual tools they need for a rewarding relationship with God through religion classes, liturgy, and retreats. They freely give of themselves, contributing more than 30,000 service hours in the greater Orlando area annually. In addition, high school missionaries teach English classes and bring Christ’s care to the people of the remote, mountainous region of San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic, the “sister diocese” of the Diocese of Orlando.
Bishop Moore Catholic High School offers students more than just an education—it helps lay a foundation of faith and service that inspires students to reach their full potential. BMC is accredited by AdvancED.
