Date Night Cooking Classes For 28 years, Marci Arthur has taught her date night cooking class inside the kitchens at Truffles and Trifles ( in College Park. Scheduled one Friday or Saturday each month, as well as several times around Valentine’s Day and on New Year’s Eve, these culinary fêtes allow couples to whip up two to three dishes, then enjoy a 12- to 14-course family-style feast by candlelight. East End Market ( offers a similar class where couples are given locally sourced provisions and then set to work on the evening’s spread. BYO wine or beer is encouraged at both spots. From $130 per couple.

Drink School Those looking to up their cocktail savvy can partake in private classes at The Woods, where veteran bartender and managing partner Brian Minkle offers Drink School on Saturdays. Each two-hour session is tailored toward the preferences and goals of the group and gives a minimum of four people and a maximum of 10 the chance to learn about distillation, tools, techniques and history. Classes, at $30 per person, begin at either 4 or 5 p.m. and include a mammoth batch of Minkle’s boozy punch to sip during the interactive lesson. Call 407-203-1114 to book.

Sip and Paint With an extensive list of rotating Orlando area venues, including Graffiti Junktion, Orlando Brewing and Church Street Tavern, Paint Nite Orlando gives budding artists a blank canvas, step-by-step instruction, and two to three hours to create a masterpiece. The admission fee, typically $45 per person, includes canvas, brushes and paints with participants footing the bill for drinks, which usually adds to the night’s cheery vibe.

Sunset paddleboard yoga class Departing daily at 6 p.m. from the launch at Gaston Edwards Park, Maui B’s sunset yoga class takes participants out on a quarter-mile paddle across Lake Ivanhoe to a secluded area that acts as an outdoor studio. Floating on paddleboards, the group takes part in a 30-45-minute Hatha-style class before paddling back to shore. Cost is $35 per person including equipment. Reservations required.

Date Night Pottery Crealdé School of Art’s Winter Park campus hosts a Date Night Ceramics Class, typically on the first Friday of each month, when couples gather in Studio 4 to co-create for about two hours. Led by husband-and-wife team Vadim and Meredith Malkin, the beginner-friendly class offers up a new project each month, including salt and pepper shakers, mugs and cream and sugar sets. The final pieces, glazed and fired by Vadim, can be picked up about three weeks later. Snacks are served and BYO wine or beer is encouraged. Cost is $90 per couple, including materials. Reservations are required.
