12/4-9 Fairwinds Broadway Across America presents Sister Act, a lively musical about an aspiring disco diva who witnesses a crime and, on police orders, goes into hiding at a convent where she finds her true calling. At the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre. 

Southern Women's Show


Through December Be prepared to possibly get wet and dirty at the performance art show known as DRIP. Dancers utilize sand, water, paint—even coffee—to create a color and movement explosion in an industrial dive bar setting on I-Drive. A live band adds to the excitement. 21 and over. 




GWN Dragon Boat


12/22-23 Central Florida Ballet presents The Nutcracker, a perennial favorite, with a few twists such as special effects and pyrotechnics, at the Orange County Convention Center. A silent auction will help support the ballet organization. 


Winter Park Autumn Art Festival


12/16 Trans-Siberian Orchestra is always pushing the limits of the classical/rock music genre. The band’s upcoming stage show at Amway Center is a chance to see and hear the debut of TSO’s “The Lost Christmas Eve,” a musical tale of loss and redemption.

12/15 Tuba and euphonium players of all ages are invited to take part in the 17th annual TubaChristmas concert on the Winter Park band stage in Central Park. Registration opens at 9 a.m.; the concert begins at 1 p.m.

1/15-17 Shen Yun captures thousands of years of Chinese culture in this classical dance and music presentation. Performers use vocals, athleticism, music and thunderous drums to tell the history of China’s dynasties and legends. At the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre.
