‘Hoop Heroes’
Chris Bosh, LeBron James and Thaddeus Young were among the professional basketball players honored as “Hoop Heroes” at a fundraiser to benefit Arnold Schwarzenegger’s After-School All-Stars organization. The former California governor and Hollywood action star founded ASAS to provide free, daily after-school programs to urban youths. The event was held at Universal CityWalk’s Rising Star nightclub Feb. 24.

‘Jocktails’ PartyDowntown Orlando was hopping with invitation-only parties during the NBA All-Star Weekend, Feb. 24-26. At “Jocktails,” sponsored by Premier Beverage Co. of Florida, some NBA players took turns as bartenders to help raise money for a South Florida-based children’s charity. Among them was retired Miami Heat great Tim Hardaway.
