Description:

Good Shepherd Catholic School is a vibrant, diverse community where students celebrate their faith every day while honing their academic skills. Students from PreK3 to 8th grade are not only taught the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in the world, but also the faith and virtues to make them men and women of character.
As a faith-centered educational community, we nurture each student’s growth in mind, body and spirit. Our intellectually, socially and spiritually stimulating environment encourages students to adopt a way of life that embraces and challenges them to pursue with equal vigor the goals of academic excellence and faithfulness to Christ.
Good Shepherd takes a unique approach to educating children in their earliest years. The school offers a Multi-Age Continuous Progress Program (MAC). The MAC program combines the talents of children from three age groups in an environment of continuous learning, which extends beyond the kindergarten year.
Students of several ages are in classes together. Students remain with the same team of teachers and classmate over several years, which provides the opportunity for continuous progress in learning as well as in teacher/student relations. The program also allows cooperative learning between older and younger students to take place, and students are given time to develop and learn over several years at an individual rate of progress.
Throughout their years at Good Shepherd, students receive a well-rounded education based on a core curriculum of religion, language arts, math and science, and enriched by the fine arts, physical education, and social sciences/justice.
In addition, Good Shepherd School offers a wide variety of opportunities for our children to be active in their faith life as well as in the community through participation in activities such as our music programs, athletics, drama, service projects, and student leadership.
Throughout the years, the school has received numerous accolades and awards, acknowledging its strengths in technology, educational excellence and faith formation. Good Shepherd Catholic School is accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference.
