Selecting Flowers
Flowers have a longer season due to imports from warm climates and commercial growers cultivating flowers under glass. But it’s still important to know what flowers will be in season for your wedding date so you don’t get your heart set on something that may not be available. Keep in mind that selecting seasonal flowers provides the best quality and lowest prices. Don’t be afraid to get creative and use unique flower options for your season. Some examples for winter include amaryllis (pictured here), holly, ivy, pussy willow, poinsettia, evergreen boughs, eucalyptus and freesia. Consult your florist for a complete list of appropriate seasonal flowers.
