Dressing the Mother of the Bride and Groom
Dress styles have come a long way. And with so many designers, the new styles are flexible enough to be appropriate for bridesmaids, guests and now mothers of the bride and groom. Don't be afraid to try on bold colors or an unusual style; in these modern times, it's OK. My only warnings are not to wear white (or any variation of white) or to pick any type of outfit that will upstage the bride. (It is her day, after all!). But do find a dress that fits and flatters your body type. Check out dessy.com, niemanmarcus.com, nicolemiller.com and nordstrom.com. (Dress pictured is from Nordstrom.)

You're right, no one should upstage the bride when choosing the outfit. I love the designs of Nordstrom's. I found this site with nice Nordstrom outfits. I hope you'll like it too.

I like these 2 designers you mentioned. The designs of the gowns are fabulous and very elegant. I also found more designers in http://www.sensationalmotherofthebrideoutfits.com/john-lewis-mother-of-the-bride-outfits/
