BREAKING NEWS FOR HIGHLAND MANOR BRIDES & UPCOMING EVENTS
Breaking News for Highland Manor Brides
The City of Apopka has named Dubsdread Ballroom and Catering (the catering arm of The Tap Room at Dubsdread, located on Par Street in College Park) as the interim operator of the building, and it will handle all current catering obligations. The City has turned over a list of upcoming weddings and asked Dubsdread Ballroom and Catering to make contact and help brides in any way they can while the City sorts out the details for setting up a permanent tenant at Highland Manor. Dubsdread is also in negotiations with the City to work out a long-term contract, but several other companies have taken interest as well, so a decision will be made sometime in the near future.
Steve Gunter, owner of The Tap Room at Dubsdread and Dubsdread Ballroom and Catering says, "We're so honored to have been asked to take on this role. We're looking forward to working with each bride to fulfill her dream wedding as it was originally planned at this venue."
I am a huge fan of The Tap Room - it's one of my all-time favorite places to eat, and the ballroom remains as one of my Top 5 Venue picks for weddings and receptions. Brides can rest assured that by working with Dubsdread Ballroom and Catering, they will receive top-notch service and outstanding food. I'll keep you posted on news about the permanent tenant selected to cover Highland Manor. The Princess & The Bride Expo
On Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 12-4 p.m., The Princess & The Brie Expo will feature over 50 exhibitors including bridal boutiques, florists, caterers, venues and more. I always recommend that newly engaged brides to attend at least one bridal expo to get a feel for what's out there and the options available for their weddings. Bridal events and expos are an opportunity to get ideas. If you're just starting the wedding-planning process, don't commit to anything while attending the show. You need to research all of your options first. Take business cards, samples, etc. and contact the vendors again for a personal appointment to discuss your wedding day wishes. You can get tickets online at http://www.WeddingEventDesigners.com/pages/bridal_shows/6.27.11.PB.html. There is a 2-for-1 deal if you buy in advance. Cost is $5 for 2 tickets. The Expo is being held at Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel, 5445 Forbes Place, Orlando, FL 32812. For more information, visit weddingeventdesigners.com
