Friday:

Classic Albums Live – Hard Rock Live – 8:00 PM

PechaKucha Night Orlando v16 – The Orange Studio – 9:00 PM

Come out for a night of socializing, food trucks, beverage vendors, and an hour of presentations built on the 20 images x 20 seconds philosophy of this globally viral movement. For more info: pechakucha.org

Saturday:

Family Fun Day – Maitland Art Center – 11:00 AM

Enjoy time with the family participating in the hands-on activities and the opening of the Paper Cuts: Andre Smith Collages exhibit. For more info: artandhistory.org/calendar

Open House – Orlando Shakespeare Theater – 11:00 AM

Drop by to celebrate the theater's 27th season and participate in a variety of activities. For more info: orlandoshakes.org

Downtown Orlando Food Tour – Orange Ave. & Washington St. – 2:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday:

KidFest Summer Film Series – Enzian Theater – 1:00 PM

Come early and grab lunch at the Eden bar, or snack while you and the kids watch Song of the Sea on Saturday or The Secret Garden on Sunday. For more info: enzian.org

All Weekend:

GeekyCon (Formerly LeakyCon) – Orange County Convention Center – Times Vary

Celebrate everything about being a fantasy fan, with panels, programs, workshops, singalongs, concerts and more. Meet authors Courtney Summers, Holly Black and Jason Reynolds, musician Peter Hollens, and Game of Thrones language creator David Peterson. For more info: geekycon.com

MegaPlex – Orlando Airport Marriott – Times Vary

This arts-and-entertainment convention focuses on anthropomorphic characters, with interactive art and performances that feature costuming, puppetry, improv and music. This year’s theme: “Cops & Robbers.” Megaplex raises money for C.A.R.E. Foundation, which seeks to raise public awareness of local wildlife and abused pets. For more info:  megaplexcon.org
