Friday:

Holiday Movie in the Park – Lake Eola – 7 p.m.

Saturday:

Winterfest – Metrowest – 4 to 8 p.m.

Come and “Shrek the Halls” with this free event featuring Shrek characters, face-painting, a showing of the Shrek the Halls movie, Santa and Mrs. Claus, food, fun activities and more. For more info: metrowestcommunity.com

Marilyn Monroe Look Alike Contest – Ripley's Believe it or Not – 6 p.m.

See who wins the contest while also taking the chance to glimpse the very dress Miss Monroe wore while infamously serenading President John F. Kennedy on his birthday. For more info: ripleys.com/orlando

Violectric Holiday Show – Lake Eola – 7 to 10 p.m.

Presented by the City of Orlando Department of Families, Parks and Recreation. Violectric returns to the stage at the Walt Disney Amphitheatre for its fifth consecutive year in a free live concert open to all ages. This year's concert benefits Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando who will be present to accept monetary donations or gifts off their wish list. For more info: facebook.com/events

Sunday:

Free Family Funday – Mennello Museum – noon to 2:30 p.m.

Enjoy free admission, a free miniature fine art project and free docent touring. For more info: facebook.com/events

Holiday Big Band Concert – Osceola Arts – 7 p.m.

Always a crowd pleaser, this concert will feature the music of the holiday season. For tickets and more info: tickets.osceolaarts.org

An Evening with Anna Deavere Smith – Orlando Shakespeare Theater – 7:30 p.m.

The film, television and stage actor will headline this event, which includes stories from her illustrious career and a brief Q & A session. Through a short performance and interview, audience members will hear about the process of combining a passion for social causes with documentary-style theater-making. Orlando Gay Chorus Presents Christmas Memories – Plaza Live – Sat & Sun

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party – Walt Disney World – Fri & Sun

Christmas Bricktacular – Legoland – Fri to Sun
