Friday:

Yappy Hour – The Mennello Museum of American Art – 6 to 7:30 pm

Celebrate the launch of pet membership at the museum with District 4 Commissioner Patty Sheehan and her dog Sienna at Yappy Hour. Bring your four-legged friends for wine, beer (human), and dog beer with treats, doggie pools, and a free dog tag for the first 35 pet members to check in. Tom and Dan Exclusive Brewery Tour – Ten10 Brewing – 7 pm

Emo Nite Orlando – The Social – 9 pm

Emo Nite LA, a movement begun in Los Angeles by three friends who share the love of Emo Rock from the 1990's and early 2000's, brings their show to Orlando. For tickets and more info: ticketfly.com

Saturday:

Secret Lake Runyak – Casselberry – 8 am

This family friendly race, organized by the City of CasselberryCasselberry Friends of the Park, and Travel Country Outfitters, consists of a 3K kayak paddle sandwiched between a pair of 2.3K runs. The event is structured to accommodate all fitness levels at Secret Lake, 200 N. Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry.

Orlando Shakes Open House – Orlando Shakespeare Theatre – 2 to 10 pm

Orlando Shakespeare Theater celebrates its 29th season with an open house. Activities include crafts and story time for children; scenery, lighting and sound demonstrations; a Q&A with theater artists; a prop-and-costume museum; and an evening outdoor movie next door in Loch Haven Park. 2-10 p.m. Free. Chocolate Night – Bok Tower Gardens – 5 to 7 pm

With general admission, concert admission or member admission, stop by the gift shop for samples of dark stone ground Taza chocolate and learn the best pairings with wines from around the world. For more info: boktowergardens.org

Art Walk – Sanford – 6 to 9 pm

Explore galleries and art spaces along historic downtown Sanford’s First Street between Magnolia and Sanford avenues. Discover this river town’s culture and nightlife, food and art each third Saturday of the month. August theme: Heat Wave (Looking for Some Cool Art). Free. Sunday:

Yappy Hour with Pet Rescue By Judy – The Lucky Lure – 1 to 4 pm

Every 3rd Sunday of the month, Pet Rescue by Judy is open for adoptions on the patio of the Lucky Lure and with a donation, you get a free drink off the Yappy Hour Cocktail Menu. For more info: facebook.com/events/330833794037358

Florida Kids and Family Expo – Orange County Convention Center – Sat 10 am to 5 pm, Sun 11 am to 5 pm

A Midsummer Night's Dream Upside Down – AntiGravity Theatre – Sat & Sun 8 pm
